New 72 Pin Adapter

For many systems, this is a nearly essential repair.  It is the actual pin adapter that the Nintendo cartridge plugs into.  Nearly all old NES systems need this part replaced or repaired.  New 72 pin adapters offer a much tighter fit on the cartridge and enable your games to play much more consistently.   Order this adapter and we will also disable your lockout chip.  This combo will have your games playing nearly the first time, everytime.  No more blowing on games!

We must add that you need to keep your cartridges clean to keep your adapter functioning properly.   Clean games regularly to keep your system working at peak performance.

Disabled Lockout Chip

The lockout chip was originally designed to prevent pirated games from playing on an official system.  However, because of the need for constant communication with the cartridge,  it’s just another thing that can go wrong when trying to play a game cartridge.  By putting the lockout chip into key mode, it no longer performs this check and effectively disables it.  The famous blinking blue screen will no longer appear and you will notice your games playing more consistently.

Replacement Game Batteries

We will replace the game batteries in your old NES cartridges with brand new ones.  We also install battery holders so that if a battery needs replaced in the future, it can be popped out and the new one installed without the need for soldering and desoldering.

Game Backup / Restoration

We also offer a game backup and restoration service.   We will e-mail your save file to you for archiving purpose or for future use – save files are compatible with most popular emulators.  This can also be combined with a battery replacement to first backup the game, replace the battery and restore the file back to the cartridge.
